This is going to be a long blog entry...
Im going to combine the June, and both the August workshops in the one post..and share some of the participants images..along with my own as well. (if some of the participants haven't had a chance to send me any images, and would like for me to post them.. just send them, and I will add them to this entry! I have a sinking feeling that I am missing people!)
Anyways..I've always said I wasn't going to do more workshops.. simply due to some of the projects I have coming up. I'm going to start working on my book (finally!), and I have more commercial assisgnments coming up which require travel. However, due to some recent events over these past few days..and talking with some close friends of mine.. I will do more workshops for 2008...definitely. :-) If things didn't happen the way that they did these past few days, I probably wasn't going to have more. Now.. I most definitely will. So we are looking at a few next year...maybe 3-4, and I might even travel for one...maybe if the city is where I have some commercial work scheduled.
I know I have a lot of email inquiries regarding future workshops, and thank you! If I haven't responded to them as of yet.. I most definitely will. Feel free to send me an email again if you haven't heard from me yet.
With that said..
I had 3 great groups that I haven't had a chance to blog about because I've been traveling. My June girls, and my two August groups! They ALL were great, great groups. There are so many of these men and woman that you will be hearing from in the portrait world, as well as the commercial world.
Here are some images from each workshop. For those that have attended the 2007 business workshops, the first August group really liked an idea of a private message board. So this will be starting soon. I will be 100% active on the board sharing new ideas regarding business..etc..., and one of our participants from 1st August workshop will be moderating. So look for that information to arrive via email very soon!
ok.. onto the images!
Some from the June workshop...Its always fun to see what everyone captured from the kids and teens..
Here are some images from Zaneta of Telling Stories Photography
and Stefanie Weber
some from Miss Candi Leonard
Onward to the first August workshop..on the 11th and 12th...
Justyna's images of Funky Monkey Photo I just love to say her business name!
...and one of Lavada's... of Vada Michelle Photography
..some from Noelle of Creation Stream Studios in Atlantawho came with her very supportive husband/business partner. They make a GREAT team! I think they went and did some damage at the camera store on lenses after the workshop! Did you all end up buying the 1.2 lens??
Julie C. Butler from Canda came down with her fabulous French accent! Here are some of her images..
Julie came down from Canada with her best friend Natalie Bertrand Check our her blog. Nat..I didn't want to swipe any images off your blog so I am linking you!
Here's one of mine from that workshop...
Onward to most recent August workshop on the 21st and 22nd... I don't think I've had anyone send me anything yet.. so those who came feel free to send me images, and I will add to this post. We had participants all the way from Japan, Canada, and the Netherlands come. It was great! This workshop caused a lot of confusion amongst those who were coming. Because my workshops don't have a name.. those who were coming for the August workshop..simply called it that.. the "August workshop". Well Julie said at the 1st August workshop that she thought a friend of her's was suppose to come. She was certain she was on the list. The only list I had available was the list for that particular workshop. Well during the week.. Carmen (from the 2nd workshop..) was calling me frantically on my off day saying that she heard she missed the workshop..and she was certain she had her days right! She did have her days right of course...so at the workshop on the 21 and 22nd...and we all gave that particular workshop a name due to the fact that no one knew about it.. but I won't list what we called it....so that there is no confusion! ;-)
It rained for most of the workshop..and it was super humid. In true creative form for everyone involved...we all went outside in the rain, smut, and mud and photographed of course! We had a GREAT group of kids, and parents..so it worked out great!
Looks like the images from the most recent workshop are starting to come through... keep them coming!
Here are some from Michelle Rasmussen Thanks Michelle!
Here's one from the VERY talented Suwanee Lennon....
Here are a few of my images...

I have to try to remember to get group images at each workshop.... here's a group image from the first August workshop...
and group #2
Of course Lauren..done in true commerical photographer form had to be different and take MY picture while I was taking the group picture. She will have a spectacular, and prosperous commerical career ahead of her. As soon as she gets her website in order.. I will be doing a spotlight on her..as well as other photog's who came to all the workshops this year!
Until next time! A BIG HUGE thanks again to all for their kind words and encouragement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
~Audrey

Audrey,
Your workshop was such a great inspiration for me. It validated some of my "crazy ideas" and made me comfortable with being me. Thanks for being a wonderful inspiration and mentor.

Thank you for posting my photos on your blog, I'm honored! You are a fantastic photographer and a fantastic person. Many lightbulbs went off for me during your workshop, especially during our 1:1. I will forever be greatful for everything I learned and experienced. I hope you don't give up workshops all together because you inspire so many people.

I'm so glad that you're doing more workshops, Audrey. Attending your workshop was the single most important event in my photography career to date. It had a huge impact on my work and the business behind it. Thank you again for all you did for us.
I'm SO excited for the workshop attendee forum. I am sure that we will all learn so much.
You rock, as always

Did you say maybe travel? San Francisco! I KNOW you want to come to California! That's my vote for a workshop! Just think the Golden Gate Bridge? Marin Headlands... Lombard Street... Fisherman's Wharf... just to name a few remarkable places to shoot! I'm dying to attend one of your workshops!!!

I would LOVE to be able to attend a workshop.
Could you please let me know how I can sign up.

This post is magic.
The last post which was whisked away had me resigned to the idea of never meeting or attending one of your workshops.
And now....there is hope...
a gleam...a flicker.
Thank you for whatever amazing turn of events made this happen for us.
Thank you!

Audrey:
The photo's of our "A" are ROCKIN! Her 18yo brother said, "WOW! She looks fantastic and that fence and aged brick is so incredible in the backgrounds!" Thank you and the other photographers for such an exciting and fun-filled workshop! You are such an awesome person with a God-given talent, thank you for sharing it with our daughter!

Thanks to Stacey for offering her space in the Sept or Oct workshop to me yesterday - although I am SO bummed that it probably can't work out on short notice - I am THRILLED that after catching up on your blog, Audrey, that I now know there is hope again for future 2008 workshops! Please, please put me on your list when you announce these. I'll be there! And if you have interest in traveling to Charlotte, NC - let me know, and I'll help you market it down here and fill all the spaces!
