October.... I can definitely say that I am glad it is over!
This month... by far has been the busiest of my entire career. Not only did it seem like everyone in the Chicagoland area wanted an appointment...but anything that could remotely go wrong..happened in October. I am ending October with a horrible case of the flu. As I type this..my voice is just about gone! Not only was I taking care of regular appointments, but I had to make up a few as well. As a result... I've been extremely scarce....extremely...working literally morning until night with nothing but photo sessions.
You all often read about how much I adore the kids I photograph...and I rarely mention the parents. During October, I had a large number of clients who were really on the "receiving end" of the October craziness. When I thought that they would all be upset with me...they instead became a support system for me during this time. They were urging me not to work too hard while trying to get things back in order...they were really concerned for me as a person.
So.. here is Part I (because I lots to post!) of "An Ode to my October clients..."
Thank you for being the understanding family that you are. I am so very honored to have met all of you! Not only were we able to capture great images once... but twice. It was all worth it.
What can I say about the mom of this cute little newborn boy? Lots! Thanks for being a great listening ear. We never met before your session, and by the time it was over, we were talking as if we known each other for years. By the way... yes.. I got rid of the bucket, and things have gotten better! ha ha! Thank you!
Thanks to the mom of this little angel. You were SO understanding. Thanks for being you. :-)
Baby G... what can I say about your Mommy? Hmm.. I can say you have one of the best Mommy's in the entire world! Thank you a million times over. When I walked in...and you gave me a hug because you felt bad for me for the horrible month I was having meant more than you know. Thank you.
You all just simply make me smile. Their Mommy always asks how I am doing....hoping I am not working too hard. Thank you.
Thanks... thanks "S" for just being who you are. You're so sweet and understanding. Oh.. by the way... even though it was 80 degree's outside (one of those rare hot October days...) it does look like Fall doesn't it?? Thanks again!
I'm going to end Part I talking about the mom of these two great kids. This post wouldn't seem right if I didn't mention her. "C"... what can I say? To say that I am honored to have met you and your family would really be an understatement. It doesn't even describe how I feel about you as a person. Your so incredibly giving..and your encouragement means so much to me. You're a special, special woman..not to mention you make the best brownies...and when I come to your house I am peacefully greeted by wild deer frolicking in your yard. ha ha!
OK... I need some tissue now! Part II coming in a few days. :-)
Until next time...
