The cover of Professional Photographer Magazine...
Wow.. My friends/family know that I am still in a bit of disbelief, and didn't talk about it to many (my parents don't even know! Sorry Mom and Dad..)really until I had an issue firmly in my hands. Total...total disbelief...still. (..and probably always will!)
For my clients who read this..let me explain a bit. Since they know about the commercial work I've gotten lately...and might not understand why this means so much to me... Pottery Barn Kids, Toys R Us.. Vogue Bambini and others..none of it compares..this is why...
PPA is "the" organization for professional photographers. Me..well I am like a needle in the haystack amongst over 15,000 members from across the US. For them to call and pick me to feature..AND to feel that my work is good enough to grace the cover...well... I just really have no words. I don't think there will be anything that will top this honor at all. To start out how I did with photography...only to make the cover of Professional Photographer magazine...speechless.. just speechless.
They also asked if they can feature two of my images in their media kit that they send to all their vendors...and there are only 4 or 5 images on there..and I have two!! So for the editors to feel that two of my images were good enough to represent their magazine to their vendors...again...no words...totally speechless. I want to thank Lorna for all the great chats, and a great story...thank you!
Here are a few pictures of the article..
You can find the article on line at www.ppmag.com
In the same issue there's also a small article about things and products, and lenses that I like. You can't find that article on line unfortunately, but here is a snap of it...
Thanks again all. I read each comment, and email that you all send me. It means a lot!
Until Next Time,
~A

Audrey, NOBODY is surprised by your accolades or your success. It does not matter how you came to photography. You have a gift. You are an artist with a unique and touching vision. Keep it up. I love seeing the way you capture my kids and everyone else's on film!

As soon as my copy came in the mail I raced to my bedroom and closed the door so I could read your article in peace away from my husband and two children. Dinner would have to wait! LOVE the pictures. I was curious about one part of the article....do you really do 35 sessions a week or was that a misprint? I'm stunned!

hi audrey! I have been trying to get a hold of you but you are in such high demand I'm sure!! Your photography is amazing, I saw it first in this article you just mentioned, and then I came and viewed your website and literally were in tears!! I am going to school right now for my bachelor of fine arts degree in photography and we had to choose a Master Photographer to emulate and write an essay on, and I chose you. Your work is beautiful. I also started out w/ the love of photography after photographing my beautiful children! I could go on and on but I also appreciate your humility and your sincerity, something that alot of more advanced and professional photographers lack. You are a sweet lady to read about on your blog! I only wish I was not across the country in CA. To meet up with you and take your different workshops! Well thanks again for you inspiration!
