Gone for the week...

I had some GREAT clients these past few weeks..and I had a looonnnggg post showcasing what has been new here.

BUT...

My computer froze...and I had to reboot.. DRATS! I have to leave in about an hour to catch a flight..so I can't gather all those images again. So when I return... I will post a LOT...because there is a LOT! :-)

As a reminder.. I will be out of the office from June 24 - 7/8. I will not have access to voicemail or email. If you are inquiring about an appointment, please leave all the information (who the session is for...etc...) on my voicemail..or send me an email because, appointments are booked on a first come, first serve basis.

On the flipside.. I am slowly getting some of the tears from my latest Pottery Barn Kids shoot. These will be used for a bedding book that will only be available IN the store. So in order to see this book.. you have to visit the store.

Flickr...

..really quick...for the photographers who visit my blog...

If anyone of you are flickr visitors, and receive a message from someone with my name asking if they can list you as a contact..it isn't me.  I do not have an active flickr account.  Someone notified me of a fake profile that someone created pretending to be me by naming the profile....

"audrey woulardphotography".

Psssstt... Connie.. come take a look...

No more "watching.waiting.hoping.." anymore! This post is for you! :)

I photographed these two recently, and they were great! Their mom found me from a picture and quote of mine that appeared in Creating Keepsakes Magazine recently. (..yes.. I initially had no idea what she was talking about because I totally forgot about it!)..so I knew this family would be fun! I wasn't wrong either. I really enjoyed them..and their mom of course...was super sweet as well!

We got some cute pictures of her two little ones...

Lately..I've been been hearing this same word..

to the question...

"Are you happy school is out for the summer?"

The common answer is... "YEEESSSS!"

Blog_2

...although when I asked this little girl if she was happy school was out... it really didn't appear that she is very happy about it. What do you think?

If you all look closely..you can see the rain coming down in a few shots! Thank goodness I had a ponytail holder because it was not a good hair day after this session!

A Photographers Public Service Announcement...

Sticking with the same photographer....

Blog

I get a fair share of out of town/country visitors to my blog. Many times they email or call me asking for recommendations for photographers in their area. This post is for those people..

...Sticking with the same photographer....

I've photographed the two little ones above...ummm.. going on forever? (mom was pregnant when we first met...) haha! They are 3yrs and almost 2yrs (23months..) for the photographers that visit my blog, they will nod their heads in agreement when I say...

"Its hard getting sibling shots with kids so young...and so close in age.."

Well you know what? I have more sibling shots of these two *together* than I have of most older siblings that I photograph. Why? Because they know me. They know when I show up at their house that.. "Adrey...the piktur lady.." is there to play and take pictures. They know who I am. They greet me... give me hugs.. and I can take them and play and give their parents the images that they love. With this session.. their parents were very busy with their business...so they weren't even home. The Grandmother was there... she brought the kids down...and said.. "If you need me.. just come and get me.." PERFECT! I had both kids and the dog. It was great...laid back...just how I like it...and how most kids like it too.

I'm sure it felt good to the parents to know that when they want to schedule a photo session for their kids...that it doesn't have to be a big ordeal. Why? Because their kids know me...

So for all my out of town visitors....

When you find a photographer who produces images that you love...stick with them... not only will the process be less stressful on you, but your kids will be much more comfortable...and will reveal how they are with you....to the photographer....now imagine all the memories you will have for the years to come!

Until Next Time...

May workshop... 3 for 3!

Yes... My May workshop ladies.. you all were wondering when (if?) I was going to blog about our workshop...right? How could I **not** blog about such a fantastic group of photographers. I started to really look at the images, and I couldn't figure out why I didn't take as many images as I normally do...then..

BINGO! It hit me...

Everyone was hogging my lenses! :-)

Anyways, I had a blast at this workshop...so much that I can't even put it into words. We had some great (and deep!) business dicussions which shed some light on the different perspectives other photographers might face during their journey. It was just great. I miss you all already!

So Barbara, Melissa, Emily U., Emily W., Janeen, Andrea, Cindy, Jacquie (who better have her studio the next time we talk..), Donna, Amanda (thanks for the arm massage!), Dorinda, Linda, Elizabeth, Gabi, and Katherine..THANK YOU!

I even managed to purchase a GREAT camera strap for my camera. For the photographers who visit my blog... you have to check these out...they are great... My Funky Camera

Here are some that I was able to capture while I still had lenses left!

As for those who email me about future workshops... at this point, I have no idea if more will happen. This year has taken off in full force with big commercial jobs, speaking engagements...and lots of new and existing portrait clients... I have flown more times during the months of April/May... than I have the entire year of 2006!

I'm just not sure where workshops can fit in any longer. I will keep those who have emailed me posted on new workshops if they happen. I do know that ALL the ladies (and gentlemen..) that I've met this year at my workshops REALLY make me want to keep doing them! I wanted to thank all of my 2007 workshop attendees for all the kind letters (and emails) you send me. They mean so much! I have made a bullentin board in my office of all the notes. They all make me smile! THANK YOU!

Until Next Time -
